If the script is debugged in the browser the javascript line that throws the error is a=b.getAttribute(“href”).

This error occurred on a client site we support and tracking down the issue was extremely frustrating.  It only happened with clients using IE7 and trying to edit content on their site.

This error is thrown when the user attempts to edit items on their site (display a dialog) and if a bad URL has been entered into the Quick Launch/Navigation.

To fix the error simply review all URLs in the sites navigation under Site Actions | Site Settings and correct them where necessary.
