Microsoft Visual Studio Scrum 1.0 Process Template Released

This template was built from scratch just for Scrum teams.  Scrum is an iterative, incremental framework for project management and agile software development.  This template includes work items and reports to help your Scrum team be successful.  It has been renamed so you may have previously seen it named “Team Foundation Server Scrum v1.0 – Beta” when it was in beta.

You can download the process template from the Microsoft Visual Studio Gallery.  Microsoft has also released the process guidance for the template on MSDN.

Note: This process template is only supported by Team Foundation Server 2010.

This template includes the following:

  • Work Item Types
    • Sprint
    • Product Backlog Item
    • Bug
    • Task
    • Impediment
    • Test Case
  • Reports
    • Release Burndown
    • Velocity
    • Sprint Burndown
    • Build Success Over Time
    • Build Summary
    • Test Case Readiness
    • Test Plan Progress
  • SharePoint Project Portal

Aaron Bjork from Microsoft has a great blog post about the new process template which you should definitely make some time to read.
