MOSS 2007 meets GoC CLF 2.0

One of the projects I am working on is getting a site template for the Government of Canada’s new version of its Common Look and Feel v2.0.

I am very excited about the potential that MOSS 2007 has to offer and here is an early peek at an alpha version of our CLF 2 column page:

One reason that I feel this technology will be easy to adopt is that MOSS is able to use multiple authentication providers for a single web application so a mix of AD and ASP.NET Membership for a site works quite nicely (tried it in a MOSS VM already).

SharePoint 2007 has had banner year for Microsoft surpassing US$800 million for revenue so I don’t think there are a lot of tough decisions to be made here just WHEN to implement.  There are so many improvements in WSS and MOSS it is no wonder the uptake is so high.
